Introduction:
Hi! My name is Stephanie, I was born and raised in Hong Kong, however am a confident first language English speaker and have graduated from an ESF international school in Hong Kong. I have had teaching experience in the past that will be listed below.

I am an IB diploma graduate this year in Hong Kong. Although I am local, my first language is English and can speak fluently in English with a slight British accent due to the influence of British teachers I have encountered towards my life in ESF primary and Secondary schools. However, I am bilingual and am also able to communicate fluently in both Chinese and English if necessary. I am more so familiar with the PYP programme from international Junior schools, MYP programme, IGCSE and IB diploma programmes as this is a process that I have went through in the past. I am very confident and sophisticated and hoping that tutoring is something I could pursue in the later of my life.

Past Experiences:

Tutoring English at an international school 2018

I have had experience with tutoring English to young children in the past as part of an internship. The children I was in charge of consists of boys and girls ranging from 5 to 8 year olds. My duty as a tutor was to give a well rounded English lesson to a group of students and encourage them to engage in group activities and discussions. I throughly enjoyed the experience and was incredibly rewarding in the end. After this incident, I was sure that teaching is something I am solely passionate about and would like to pursue in the later of my career.

Tutoring at Good time international play school 2017

Although this was a short experience, it was my first ever placement I have encountered. This placement targets children ranging from ages 4-6 and typically in the kindergarten range. My role at this play school was to plan a lesson each week with a group of young kids and conduct learning relate activities that will entertain and spark their interest towards learning English.

I have a 3 year old niece that has been enrolled in an international kintergarden in Hong Kong, he will be going to an ESF primary school in August/ September of 2020.
